Victorias Secret Fashion Shows have been a hit from the day they started off. It was only in 1995 that the first fashion show was started off by Victorias Secret and was regarded as the lingerie event of the century. !999 can be regarded as a feather in the cap of Victorias Secret Fashion Show as the company broadcasted their show simultaneously at the Times Square which registered more than 1.5 million viewers.
Year 2000 saw the show being hosted at the Cannes Film Festival in France and it was able to raise $3.5 million for Cinema Against AIDS Charity.
2001 saw Victoria's Secret Fashion Show being broadcasted on ABC but it got involved in a controversy. 2004 didn’t saw the usual catwalk rather Victorias Secret Models went for an Angels Across America Tour which was a grass root campaign for the brand involving the cities of Miami, New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
The show of 2006 was pretty lavish in the sense that it featured the multi million dollar Fantasy Bra which must have left every women jealous for sure. This year also saw Victorias Secret PINK make debut on the runway.
Victorias Secret Fashion Show of 2007 can be labeled as one of the fashion shows as it involved the comeback performance of SpiceGirls and it was their first American TV debut after the reunion.
Since the time the show made debut in 1999 it has turned into a lavish event attracting celebrities and special performers. One of the things to watch out for are the giant angel wings worn by the Victorias secret models and have become a fashion trademark for the company.
